While the fanboys have their action packed scenes full of superheroes and villains, the fangirls happen to have their Loki!

Tom Hiddleston has amassed quite the fan following online, including those fans that consider themselves a part of "Loki's Army."

A petition has even been launched to get Tom Hiddleston his own Loki movie, which has close to 25,000 supporters, almost three times the amount since Cosmic Book News first mentioned it almost a month ago.

New footage aired recently revealing Tom Hiddleston wearing a pair of slippers as well, causing some more internet uproar, and the actor recently spoke with SciFi Now Magazine about all the Loki fandom.

On the fangirl culture, Tom Hiddleston offers:

On one level, it's a huge compliment because something I've done has captured the imagination of a group of people, and that's what you hope for. I feel so lucky. And any actor would feel lucky to garner the appreciation of people. It was a surprise, but I'm my own worse critic, and I'm my own worst slave driver, so I try not to worry about what they think too much. But they are a zealous and passionate and creative group of people [laughs]. They have sent me some extraordinary fan art.

And on some of the strangest art he has received:

The weirdest stuff is without question the pole dancing stuff. It comes from this beat at the end of Thor where I spin around a pole with this spear, which I've embedded in the ground, because I've been trying to take Thor's head off with it. I spin around and kick him in the chest. Fans have interpreted that as symptomatic of my hidden talent at pole dancing. And they take it to a level which is...very graphic [laughs]. So that's quite surprising. On the other hand I do get some amazing letters where people simply say how much they love the character. There's something about the sadness in him that people can relate to, and they find it moving and inspiring.

Here is a pic of the Loki slippers from recent Thor 2 footage as well:
