Alan Taylor is currently filming Thor 2, "The Dark World," where set images revealed a first look at Christopher Eccleston as the villain in the movie, Malekith The Accursed, the leader of the Dark Elves (right).
Anthony Hopkins will be reprising as Thor's all-father, Odin, and MTV recently caught up with the actor to get an update on Thor 2.
Hopkins says that he will be finished with filming soon, and that most of his scenes involved acting with Chris Hemsworth. He gives kudos to the cast and also reveals that his character Odin, has one encounter with Christopher Eccleston's Malekith.
In the comics, Malekith strikes a deal with Loki on behalf of the fire demon Surtur, who Odin imprisoned in the Earth.
Set pics seem to reveal that Alan Taylor is following the comics relatively close.
