Body

2186 Seems some strange things are going on with the new Superman movie, the Man of Steel.

Must be kryptonite at work!

IMAX released an updated synopsis and information about the Man of Steel being released in IMAX — only to take it down!

Great, Scott! We've seen this before!

When DC Entertainment put together their newly re-designed DC Comics website they included some Man of Steel info and a synopsis that was taken down as well!

The IMAX synopsis was previously made known through a casting call description for the Man of Steel, but includes new information about the Man of Steel IMAX Experience as well as some small changes to the synopsis.

And we know this because it's still available to see on Google.

It could be that this info was supposed to be released this week in conjunction with the Man of Steel's San Diego Comic Con Panel - where fans are hoping to see their first footage from the movie and movie poster - but someone may have jumped the gun too early.

Faster than a speeding bullet, indeed!

Here is the newly updated info via IMAX:

Update: IMAX contacted us and asked that we take the info down as it was put up by human error.

And from the previous Vancouver casting call:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.
