The Chairman of Disney, Alan Horn, lets it be known in the following video that they have already begun filming on Star Wars: Episode VII.

Horn doesn't give any specifics, but he does mention that the toughest part is casting, and that they haven't finished casting just yet.

"Casting," Alan Horn replied when asked about the toughest part of supervising Star Wars: Episode VII

"No," Horn said when asked if they have casted the movie. "Well, we have a couple things... I can't disclose..."

"We are actually shooting some of it now," Horn said. "We're up against it. But also it's the screenplay. It has to be - this is Episode VII, so there is IV, V, VI, so it takes off where VI left off. And where VI left off this is 35 years ago by the time this is released in December 2015 in a theater near you. It's all about the screen play. It has to be... Screenplay. Screenplay. Screenplay."

Horn added that the screenplay is finished.

"It actually is now. Larry Kasdan co-wrote it with J.J. Abrams and the early draft was done by Michael Arndt," he said.

Horn also said they are not shooting Episodes VII, VIII & IX back-to-back.

"No. For this? No," he said.

Regarding announcements, Horn stated in his best Yoda voice, "Patience you must have."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a December 18, 2015 release.
