The definition of rivalry assumes there is competition for superiority in a given field, and if we are to believe Chris Hemsworth there is none between Marvel and DC because the Marvel movies are just kicking too much butt.
Chris Hemsworth is asked in a recent interview while promoting his latest movie Rush how he feels about the Marvel vs. DC rivalry.
"No. We are just winning, aren't we. There is no real rivalry," Hemsworth replied with a laugh.
The Avengers vs. The Dark Knight Rises box office battle from last Summer is brought up, with The Avengers coming out on top.
"Did we? Good. There you go," Hemsworth said. "You can not [help but] be excited about being a part of something that does that well. It all kind of benefits each other. If one film opens big then most likely people want to come back to the movies and see something else. So it all feeds into each other."
The box office battle continues the Summer of 2015 when The Avengers 2 takes on Batman Vs. Superman. Regardless of which Summer blockbuster comes out on top, as Hemsworth mentions above it's a win-win situation for the fans.

Chris Hemsworth can be seen in Rush out in theaters September 27th and in Thor 2 out November 8th.
