X-Men: First Class fans may like the following news as it's being reported that Bryan Singer said that none of the original trilogy cast will be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse, which would mean no Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart and Halle Berry.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, director Bryan Singer made it be known that X-Men: Apocalypse will be more of a sequel to X-Men: First Class, with the article stating the original cast won't be a part of Apocalypse as well.

Apocalypse will take place after Days Of Future Past and call on Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and co., but not, this time, the original cast.

"What happens in this movie brings about what'll happen in that movie," says Singer of the connective tissue between the two.

Singer also shoots down the earlier rumor that Apocalypse is an alien who possesses Magneto.

"That's not the case", he stressed, "and neither will that particular thing be in the film. People were concerned we were making Apocalypse an alien. It's odd. I don't know where that came from."

X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release date.
