New Alien Life Form Movie Underway: Yes - ALF!

Sony has purchased the rights to make an ALF movie, based on the classic 1980s sitcom of the same name.

The new ALF movie will be produced by the producer of Smurfs, Jordan Kerner, and is said to be a hybrid live-action/CGI feature (via THR).

Original ALF creator Tom Patchett, and puppeteer Paul Fusco are on as producers as well.

Fusco was the original voice of Gordon Shumway aka ALF, as is expected to reprise the role.

No writer or director is attached as of yet.

ALF originally aired on NBC from 1986-1990 with 102 episodes.
