Thor 2, "The Dark World," footage from London shows Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed battling it out with Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Check out the following video which features live-action footage of the two.

One particular scene reveals Thor attempting to bash Malekith with his mighty hammer, Mjolnir; however, Malekith meets Mjolnir head on -- and sparks fly!

It's a pretty cool effect as they actually use something real for the scene and don't add it in later.

We can also be led to believe from this footage that Malekith is an apparent equal to Thor, at least magic-wise, as we don't see Malekith has a weapon of his own. Malekith's powers are magic based so perhaps his powers and Mjolnir cancel each other out.

Thor 2: The Dark World hammers into theaters November 8th, 2013 directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin,  Idris Elba as Heimidall, Zachary Levi as Fandral and Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurse.
