Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige recently spoke about Marvel Studios' future plans for Thanos while promoting The Avengers movie Blu-Ray.

Cosmic Book News exclusively confirmed that Thanos will not only be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but The Avengers 2 as well.

While Kevin Feige does not specifically mention those pair of upcoming cosmic movies, he does touch upon where we will see Thanos next, which may indicate possibly not in Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2, as they are the next movies in line to hit theaters.

"Clearly, there's a purpose to us putting him in the end of that [The Avengers] movie. We do have plans for him," Feige told MTV News. "I wouldn't say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other. We succeeded in Phase One because we stuck to our guns and stuck to the plan. That plan took place over many, many years and it ultimately paid off. I see Phase Two unfolding in the same way of us taking our time, us doing what's right for each individual movie, while folding in elements that will not only build up to the culmination of Phase Two, but even Phase Three."

3234 We do see Kevin Feige makes mention of "folding in elements," so some sort of Thanos or possibly even an Infinity Gauntlet reference in one or more of the Marvel Studios movies preceding Guardians of the Galaxy could be a strong possibility. Movie goers did first get a glimpse of the Infinity Gauntlet in the first Thor movie, after all.

Of course, we don't know if Marvel Studios is going with Jim Starlin's classic story as part of Phase 2 - or even Phase 3 - but Kevin Feige does continue with mention of the all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet.

"Suddenly, you have a million people who had never heard of an Infinity Gauntlet or a Mad Titan learning those terms," said Feige. "I love that. I love when the experience goes beyond the movie theater and encourages people to look deeper into our universe."

The Avengers 2 assembles May 1, 2015 with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie on August 1, 2014.
