Jonathan Nolan, brother to Christopher and co-writer of The Dark Knight, speaks with Larry King about Batman in the following video.

Jonathan Nolan offers that he wasn't surprised by Ben Affleck being selected as Batman, that Warner Bros. has a fantastic relationship with Affleck, and he thinks Ben Affleck will be "an incredible Batman."

Larry King brings up the fact that Batman doesn't have super powers, and was it difficult filming the character as he doesn't fly or walk on walls.

Nolan says that Batman's superpowers are his rage and money.

"That's why I like the character. His super powers were rage and money," he said. "There was nothing extraordinary about it. He was just an ordinary man sufficiently pissed off to want to go and turn his life into a symbol and go out and fight crime in the middle of the night."

Nolan continued with mention that when they wrote the script for The Dark Knight they hadn't read Bob Kane's first appearance of The Joker, and when they finally read it, the script and comic shared similar story beats.

The untitled "Batman Vs Superman" has a newly announced May 6, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto.
