A new image of Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin from Iron Man 3 has surfaced from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Kevin Feige previously revealed that the Ten Rings of Power would not feature the same cosmic origin from the comics and made mention that there would be no ice rays or fire beams.

However, we still put it forth that the rings would have some sort of power, perhaps following in the footsteps of the movie with being tech-based.

A twitter user posted the following new image of Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin along with a text excerpt.

It remains to be seen just what power the rings hold.

The rings still are the source of his power but the alien subplot has been dropped

Iron Man 3 blasts off May 3rd, 2013 directed by Shane Black and starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
