Iron Man 3 (2013): Chinese Extras Needed - Mandarin Not Far Behind?

The casting call company for Iron Man 3 has revealed that they are looking for extras of Chinese descent.

Of course, fans of Iron Man 3 will note that the infamous IM villain, Mandarin, is of Chinese origin.

We also just learned that Ben Kingsley is in talks to portray the film's villain.

One news outlet stated that Kingsley wouldn't be playing the Mandarin, more a role closely related to the Extremis comic book story.

However, another revealed that Kingsley wouldn't be the film's main villain, but says there is still a chance he may play the Mandarin as the script is still being written.

Sounds like sort of a tug-of-war is going on, but with the news that Chinese extras are needed, for fans of the Mandarin appearing, this is certainly a promising sign.

The casting call also asked for people of Middle Eastern descent as well.

The Major Motion Picture "CAGED HEAT" is seeking those interested in working as Extras on the film.

Filming on this this star studded movie will take place this summer in various areas of North Carolina.

The Tona B. Dahlquist Casting Company (of The Hunger Games, Homeland, Leatherheads & Forrest Gump) will be holding a call on Saturday April 14, 2012 in the Raleigh area.

ALL TYPES, ALL AGES & ALL ETHNIC DESCENTS ARE NEEDED.

In addition there is a special need for those of Chinese as well as Middle Eastern descents. Production will also be in need of business types with luxury vehicles.

Those interested in applying must bring a non returnable current snapshot. "This photo can be printed off your computer and taken with your cell phone. We just want to be current and look like you". states Dahlquist. Casting Forms will be available on site Saturday morning.
