Bryan Singer is set to bring the casts of the X-Men movies together in 2014 for "Days of Future Past" that will feature the likes of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan and Hugh Jackman sharing the silver screen with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.

Hugh Jackman, speaking with Access Hollywood, thinks that Singer will "blow people away" as well as being the "first director to make increasingly better movies in a franchise."

The actor also goes on to talk how he was doing press for The Prestige, that also starred Christian Bale, and that Christopher Nolan offered up he wanted to do Batman even previous to the first X-Men movie in 2000.

"Few people kind of credit Bryan for what he deserves credit for, which is really inventing that genre. There really wasn't a superhero genre before X-Men came out. And funny enough, I remember catching a plan while we were promoting The Prestige with Chris Nolan. He said to me he always had the Batman in his mind even way back before 2000; he had the version of Batman that he ended up making, in his head. And he said 'when I went into the cinema, and I saw X-Men' he was like 'damn, that's my idea.' The idea that you can really delve into the emotional life to the vulnerabilities of these characters and that as well as being fantastical and amazing and action is what's going to hold people and make them care. That's what Bryan did. He had a lot of courage to do that."
