Check out another new image of Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield.

Previously, in honor of Armitage's 41st birthday, a high-res Thorin Oaken Shield image was released.

This time we see Thorin wielding the mighty Orcrist — the goblin-cleaver!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14th, 2012 with the sequel, The Hobbit: There And Back, a year later on December 13th, 2013.

Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey with Martin Freeman playing Bilbo Baggins.

Also reprising their roles from “The Lord of the Rings” movies are: Cate Blanchett as Galadriel; Orlando Bloom as Legolas; Ian Holm as the elder Bilbo; Christopher Lee as Saruman; Hugo Weaving as Elrond; Elijah Wood as Frodo; and Andy Serkis as Gollum.
