As comic and wrestling fans go hand-in-hand, it should be no surprise that Dave Bautista is returning to where it all started with the WWE.

The WWE released a promo for Dave "The Animal" Batista announcing his return for the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

Batista will be one of the thirty WWE Superstars who will compete for chance to main event WrestleMania 30.

Dave Bautista stars in the upcoming Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy movie as Drax The Destroyer which comes out this Summer.

I wouldn't mind seeing Batista take on Brock Lesnar or John Cena. Or even The Rock, who is in talks for his own comic book role with Warner Bros.

It's my guess that the WWE and Marvel might be doing a joint promotion for the movie. Possibly the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer could be hitting the following week at the Super Bowl (we can hope).

Check out the promo:

Guardians of the Galaxy has an August 1, 2014 release.

Synopsis:

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team — the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand — with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector.
