Well, here is some good news Guardians of the Galaxy fans.

We have confirmation that the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie is not animated.

The latest issue of SciFi Now Magazine features an interview with Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige. The article goes on to state that the Guardians of the Galaxy movie is animated and wonders how it will work with the other movies, which are live-action.

Guardians of the Galaxy,' an animated offering starring little-known cosmic characters like Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon and helmed by 'Super' and 'Slither" director James Gunn, will probably explore Thanos more -- defending the universe being their whole raison d'etre, after all. How an animated movie from a director known for subversive comedy and horror will neatly gel with the live-action movies is an obvious challenge, but it's not the only one.

As we noted in our article, we thought SciFi Now Magazine may have mixed up their facts. We did e-mail them, but never received a response.

However, CBR contacted Marvel who did respond saying that the SciFi Now article was incorrect: "Guardians of the Galaxy" is not an animated film.

Good to know.

The Avengers 2 assembles May 1, 2015 with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie on August 1, 2014.
