5084 The Steven Spielberg produced and the Joe Dante directed classic, Gremlins, may be joining a long list of trending movies to get the reboot treatment from Hollywood.

Vulture has it that Warner Bros. is in negotiations with Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment to reboot the 1984 horror film that saw the Mogwai, Gizmo, give rise to a batch of critters that caused all sorts of mayhem, the Gremlins.

Apparently, this isn't the first time a reboot has been tried, but this time seems to be a - perhaps - stronger possibility.

The original Gremlins had a budget of around $11 million and ended up bringing in a whopping $150 million which was followed by the 1990 sequel, "A New Batch," which didn't fare nearly as well at the box office.

Gremlins was also partly responsible for implementing the PG-13 rating.
