Emma Stone Confirms Spider-Man Movie Mechanical Web Shooters

Last week Columbia Pictures released a first look at Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man costume for the upcoming 3-D movie whcih appeared to feature mechanical web shooters. The previous Spider-Man, played by Tobey Macguire, had web shooter as part of his powers - meaning they literally came from his wrists.

On the red carpet at the Golden Globe awards, actress Emma Stone who is playing Gwen Stacy, confirmed with MTV that Garfield's shooters are mechanical. "It's a device," Stone told MTV.
