6355 The Deadpool movie looks just about all set to go.

It has a script and a director attached, with Ryan Reynolds to reprise as the Merc With The Mouth.

Turns out, though, the problem is currently Fox Studios.

As we have heard previously about the Deadpool movie, Fox Studios is reluctant to give the go ahead to an R-Rated Marvel Comics movie.

Now the screenwriters behind the Deadpool movie, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, talk about the issues at hand, and we hear about the test footage that was done with Ryan Reynolds.

"We have a phenomenal director in Tim Miller, who did about a 3-minute test for Fox, and Ryan came in to do the mo-cap for it and the voice," Rhett Reese recently told the Collider. "And it’s like the greatest three minutes ever.  I look at the three minutes and I’m like, 'That’s the movie, and it has to get made.' I think the biggest hurdle right now is convincing the-powers-that-be that it’s okay to have a hard-R rated movie within the Marvel Universe."

Paul Wernick continued with mention that there was another previous Marvel movie which a studio took a gamble on and that paid off. Iron Man.

"Iron Man was like that when it came out. Tony Stark and the hard drinking, fast-talking billionaire was very different from all the other Marvel characters. And look what it became. And we feel that way about Deadpool," he offered.

Cosmic Book News will also throw another movie out that Fox seems to be forgetting -- Blade.
