Chronicles of Riddick 3: First Look At Vin Diesel On Set

Vin Diesel released a first look at his character, Riddick, via his FB from the set of Chronicles of Riddick 3.

Looks to be perhaps some sort of flying/gliding apparatus. If you look closely at his hands he seems to be holding onto two handles that would open up the cape into a glider with his outstetched arms. Or maybe it's some kind of weapon.
