Cosmic Book News movie and gaming reviewer Lawrence Napoli, who also happens to be doing a series of podcasts for us, recently saw trailer #2 for The Dark Knight Rises while attending the premiere locally for Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows.
Lawrence and his crew did a non-spoiler podcast on the Sherlock Holmes sequel, which we'll have up soon, where they also spoke about the third Batman film's second trailer.
And we have that here for you right now!
They immediatley begin with talk of what they deem the "flying Tumbler," aka The Batwing, and continue with the look of the regular Tumblers - how out of place they seem in the urban environment of Gotham City.
From there, mention is made of Anne Hathaway and her character, Catwoman. Does the panel even like Hathaway to begin with?! What's this about her relationship to Bruce Wayne?!
Next, they discuss the scene filmed in Pittsburgh's Heinz Field that was shown in the trailer, and how it compares to Bane in Batman comics canon.
Some other things touched upong include:
With this being the last of the franchise, how does the panel feel about Batman being rebooted?
Thoughts on the actual look and voice of Bane in the movie? What about the fact that Hardy, who is a British actor, is portraying what is actually a hispanic character in the comics?
Towards the end of the trailer, mention is made of some kind of high-tech prison(?). What's that about?!
Finally, will Nolan be able to bring everything together?!
Check out the audio for more; it's about eleven minutes long.
