The Avengers (2012): Trailer To Released On Tuesday Oct. 11th; Update: New Images

The Avengers movie Facebook let it be known that the official trailer will see the light of day on Tuesday October, 11th.

"We’re counting down to the release of “Marvel’s The Avengers” first official trailer! 5 days to go! What’s your favorite first official photo from the film?"

That same week will see all new footage revealed at the New York Comic Con, with Kevin Feige, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston and Clark Gregg among guests in attendance.

Updated: New images have been released featuring Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlet Johannson as Black Widow and director Joss Whedon with some of the cast and crew:

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
