The Avengers 2 Gets Thomas Kretschmann As Baron von Strucker

Back in December it was rumored that The Avengers 2 opening act would feaure the Marvel Comics villain, Baron von Strucker, and now the character is said to be cast for the movie.
According to THR, Thomas Kretschmann has been cast in the role of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, with it further said Baron Von Strucker is an antagonist to Chris Evans' Captain America and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. In the comics, Strucker has ties to Hydra.
The previous rumors suggested that Baron von Strucker would be instrumental with introducing both Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver into The Avengers 2.
Thomas Kretschmann plays Abraham van Helsing on NBC’s Dracula and is also known for Stalingrad, Valkyrie, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, The Pianist and Blade II.
The Avengers: Age Of Ultron has a May 1, 2015 release directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johannson, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson with James Spader as Ultron.
