Following the stellar debut of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, award-winning motion-capture actor, Andy Serkis, offers updates on The Avengers 2 as well as Star Wars: Episode VII.

Regarding Star Wars, the good news is that Serkis tells the Daily Beast he will not be playing Jar Jar Binks:

[Laughs] I am definitely NOT playing anything like Jar Jar Binks! That I can confirm.

For the Marvel movies, not only is Andy Serkis helping Mark Ruffalo on the Hulk, but Serkis will have a role in The Avengers 2. Is it Thanos?

I'd have to deny that character at this point. But I am playing a character.

Regarding Mark Ruffalo, Serkis offers this time for The Avengers 2, they are trying to make the Hulk on set more realistic than ever by giving Ruffalo tools to make everyone think there is a Hulk on set.

Also, we worked with Mark in really grounding him and playing with the digital avatar before going on set so he could see himself as the Hulk before going onscreen, and we put weights and inhibitors on him to give him the sense that his arms were these big, giant wrecking balls, and so that his biceps wouldn’t intersect with his body. We equipped him. We also gave him a sound system and pitch-modulated his voice so you could hear the enormous Hulk roar coming out of these speakers, so the crew would go, “Jesus! That’s Hulk on set!” It gives Mark the sense of feeling better, and if he feels better, then he’ll be more comfortable in the performance.

"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" hits May 1, 2015 directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Paul Bettany as Vision, with James Spader as Ultron.
